The Institute of Marketing & Management (IMM) organized the 39th World Marketing Congress on “Changing Marketing Dynamics” at the Institute of Marketing & Management, Convention Centre, Qutab Institutional Area, New Delhi on Friday, November 30, 2012.
The Conference was inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri T.N. Chaturvedi, Former Governor of Karnataka. Shri Chaturvedi in his speech, lauded the role of Dr. Jagjit Singh in organizing World Marketing Congresses since early 70’s. The Institute of Marketing & Management has been the oldest Management Institute in Delhi and is still continuing working on an innovative path. Shri Chaturvedi spoke on how marketing has impacted the growth of the economy and how people have changed with prosperity due to abundance of products and services contributed through marketing.
Dr. Jagjit Singh, Executive President, IMM spoke on the Congresses in the past and present highlighting the role it had played in the Indian scenario. He was given a standing ovation by the audience.

The Congress was a thought provoking day, with presentations from a varied set of practitioners in the field of marketing in India. Each one of them specialist in their own field. Interestingly, they laid bare various aspects in the area of marketing ranging from Healthcare to Sports, to Real Estate, to the Challenges and Dynamics in a fast changing and newly emerging world of marketing. An immense storehouse of thoughts, ideas, challenges and possible solutions emerged. There was an insight into some emerging fields of marketing activities with digital media, and how it has dramatically changed the concept and dynamics of marketing. All in all, a very fruitful and satisfying day for the inquisitive mind.
This one day Conference had an audience comprising of over 100 young students immediately entering into the corporate fray, opinion makers, educators, corporate and dignitaries, both national and international.
