Major Conclusions and Recommendations of the
32nd World Marketing Congress
on
"Marketing of Human Resource : Worldwide"
held during January 29-31, 2005
at the India Habitat Centre Auditorium, New Delhi

1. Need to make an assessment of demand of Human Resources :
  • By categories & levels of professionals
  • By regions, countries and areas
2. There is the need to have assessment of availability of human resource :
  • By countries
  • By professions & levels
3.
Analysis of competition among suppliers of human resource should be conducted :
 
  • Country-wise
  • Professions-wise
  • State-wise
  • Levels-wise
4. There is a need to upgrade skills including certification by recognised authorities.
5. Simplification & Transparency of procedures for exporting manpower are badly needed.
6. Need to develop data base on availability of human resource and demand for the same by professions and countries.
7. Role of India's Missions abroad on demand & supply of human resource and for extending support on their well being, remittances and rehabilitation of returnees is required.
8. Cases need to be developed of both successful and not so success efforts in the field.
9. There is a need to conduct detailed studies on the subject at both macro and micro levels.
10. To do an analysis of legal reforms required for free movement of human resources worldwide under WTO auspices and to remove barriers in the same.
11. To set up a Think Tank of most knowledgeable people representing different organisations, professions-wise, to conduct studies, sponsored by Government, International Agencies & Foundations, and to provide insights on how best to facilitate in marketing of human resource.
